Presidents Message

  Welcome to the new Spokane County, District 8 Fire Fighters, Local 3711 website. I would like to start by thanking our web master Brother Paul Leforgee for his dedication to our members in identifying the need for this website and making it a reality. IAFF Local 3711 is the bargaining unit representing the 24 Firefighters and Firefighter/Paramedics employed by Spokane County Fire District 8. We are located in south Spokane County and bordered on the north by the cities of Spokane, represented by IAFF Local 29 and Spokane Valley, represented by IAFF Local 876 and IAFF Local 3701. With this website, the world will be able to meet IAFF Local 3711 and its dedicated members as well as Spokane County Fire District 8. It will be a valuable tool for our members in terms of communication and information. Our goal is to also make this website a tool for other locals to access information about Local 3711. Our intent is to post our current comparable data including:  Assessed Valuation, Population, District’s Budget and health care plan, Total Cost of Compensation (TCC) and our current contract. We will also provide as much information as possible on the departments we are currently using as comparables. We hope this information will be helpful to all locals. Please take some time to peruse our site and learn about the history of our local and our future plans. Thanks for visiting us.
